In 1999, SECorps (See-core) began as a concept envisioned by several leading commercial HVAC service providers. These founding companies believed that the primary limitation to their future growth and success was people. People skilled and well trained in all aspects of selling to and servicing the customer. While each company could develop ways to grow their people on their own, there was a significant advantage to doing it together. And, along the way, sharing what worked well and what could be improved.
Since its founding in 2000, SECorps’ objective has been and remains to grow to twenty to thirty independently owned Associates. That number provides the 75 city geographic coverage desired and supplies the resources needed to support SECorps’ training and future developments.
It’s also important to note what SECorps is not. It is not a franchise organization. It is not an association that lobbies for the industry. It is not focused on the technical aspects of our industry. It is not a “peer group”. It is truly a unique organization actively developing people and improving companies in the HVAC service and related technical services businesses.
Membership is by invitation-only. SECorps is a limited association. It is not for every company in the HVAC service business. While many associations attempt to serve a broad constituency, SECorps does not.
