SECorps companies are dedicated to providing excellence in training and professional development.  We deliver highly effective programs that maximize organizational success and yield a high return on the investment.

Training was the compelling motivation for creation of SECorps.  The founders could not find consistent high quality training that addressed their unique needs.  So, they created SECorps when they found it prohibitively expensive in time, focus, and direct financial cost to individually develop, conduct, and maintain in-house training.

SECorps training is “adult learning” which means that it is so much more than an instructor imparting information.  To be effective, we have learned that adults must be active participants in the learning process.  Our trainers serve as facilitators, allowing the participants to assume responsibility for presentations and group leadership.  The facilitators guide participants to knowledge rather than simply supply them with facts.  All workshops are case based and involve every participant in the development of the solutions to the case.  These solutions are developed in groups of three to six participants which mean the solutions developed will include the experience and talents of all members of the group.  And then when their solution is shared with the entire workshop, the composite knowledge of the entire group is leveraged.

This approach create an environment where faculty treats the participants as peers--accepted and respected as intelligent experienced adults whose opinions are listened to, honored, appreciated.  As such faculty members often comment that they learn as much from the participants as the participants learn from them.

The obvious benefits of training are higher productivity, job enrichment, career advancement, increased revenue growth, and higher company profits.  Studies also indicate companies that emphasize training enjoy lower turnover rates and hence benefit from greater employee loyalty and satisfaction.

SECorps training is HVAC-service-specific and has been developed by service professionals.  It addresses the "soft" skills.  Since SECorps does not provide standard business functions (accounting, presentations, policies, etc), such "hard" training requirements are fulfilled within the Associate company.

We recognize that adults have accumulated a foundation of experiences and knowledge from work, family, and previous education.  They need connect new learning to this knowledge/experience base.  To help them do so, SECorps trainers draw out the experience and knowledge relevant to the topic.  They relate theories and concepts to the participants and recognize the value of experience in learning.
